Crystal Clear Story
You were a horse that was wild a free. Grazing in the wild open clover fields, running, playing, eating. Life in the wild was not always as perfect as it should be. During the winter we ate snow, and dug in the ice to find some grass to survive. It was hard.
Some people love horses and think they need a better life instead of eating snow and looking for a little food. So they captured us thinking they were doing a good thing to make us champions. Well, they were wrong. Us wild horses want to be free and it will be an adventure to break us.
Chapter 1
A powerful and brave mustang stallion called Spirit grazed in the wild open fields of Virgina. His friend Ash's Rain and Trasha joined him. They were getting stronger. The new grass just came up out of the snow. Spirit was ready to run. He reared and pranced around his friends. They squealed and they galloped around the open space. They raced to the mountains. Spirit was first, then Ash and Trasha last. Spirit whinned wanting to race back but the mares were to tired because they didn't eat as much grass as spirit did. They rested and grazed by the mountains. Spirit was full and bored. He whinned to the mares that he is going to go explore. Ash and Trasha stayed and grazed. Spirit trotted up the mountian. When he reached the top it was amazing. He could see everything from here. It was nice and green on the other side. Spirit whinned to Ash and Trasha. They came racing up the hill and were amazed at the site. Spirit cantered with his friends down the mountain and started grazing. The grass was much better here then back where the stream is. They continued to graze in paradise.
Chapter 2
It was getting darker and later as Ash, Spirit and Trasha grazed. They decided to head back to there homeland. They loped calmly back.
They slept under a huge willow tree by the stream. Spirit and Trasha fell asleep quickly listening to the stream flow. Ash couldnt sleep. She kept thinking about her father who died from water. She walked around trying to think of something else. She stared into the woods. It calmed her down slowly. She remembered walking through one when she was a foal with her father and mother. She rested her neck. Ash tried to sleep but then she heard a noise in the woods. It was like snow crunching. She looked up and saw bright yellow eyes looking at her. Ash reared and whinned scared. Spirit and Trasha woke up suprised. A wolf came out of the woods and growled at the horses. The mares ran out into the fields scared as ever. Spirit pinned his ears and charged after the wolf. Spirit chased it around and around. Then the wolf got behind him and jumped on his back. Spirit started bucking and rearing. Then he layed down and started to roll. Spirit crushed the wolfs paw. The wolf wimpered and limped away whining. The mares trotted back asurely and then fell asleep. Ash slowly went to sleep too.
